Chicago Sailing is pleased to offer the J30 in the Preferred Rental Program. This timeless classic epitomizes the excitement and adventure that is sailing, often overshadowing her expensive modern rivals. Few boats can match her undiminished popularity when it comes to the joy of sailing, ease of handling, accommodations and competitiveness. Certainly none offer the comparable value. Whether you are looking for an exhilarating time on the water or a peaceful evening aboard, the J30 fills the bill. She will comfortably accommodate 6-8 underway, with headroom and berth space for six adults. That is impressive for any thirty footer, let alone one designed more than two decades ago!

The J30 is a straightforward boat. She is perfect for those who prefer simplicity and performance. She boasts a powerful sail plan that is easily handled from the safety of the cockpit. The roller furling genoa eliminates the need for crew to go forward for anything but sunbathing. The cockpit itself accommodates six adults, with more seating on deck. For transiting the harbor and for those times when the wind is too light for even a J30 to glide, you can rely upon the diesel engine.

Simplicity is a benefit too, especially when it comes to value. The J30 PRP costs only $3,100* for the entire season, which includes 54 sailing dates. That averages less than $60 per sailing date and approximately $7.00 per hour. And since there are no limits to your ability to acquire additional sailing times through trades or give-ups, you will have far more sailing opportunities than you are likely to use.
