You may rent a boat and set your own course, or charter a boat so you can relax while one of our Coast Guard licensed captains takes you where you want to go. Feel free to bring your own refreshments.

Bring along your own refreshments or contact us for help coordinating a special meal onboard with the aid of our preferred caterers. Chicago Sailing's fleet of 24 sailboats is the largest fleet of its kind in the mid-West, offering the most rental and charter options on Lake Michigan.

Our J- boats and Hunter-326's are available for rent seven days a week, from morning to dusk, so you can enjoy sailing as often as you like. Take your friends sailing and show them the skyline. We use J/22 , J/24 , and J/30 keelboats for their quality, design and ease of handling. J/22's offer large, open cockpits and room for up to five adults. The J/24 offers big boat handling in a small boat package while J/30's offer additional space and comfort. The Hunter-326's are cruising oriented with all imaginable conveniences for the discerning sailor. Up to 10 people can fit easily on the Hunter-326's.

If you plan on renting a lot this season, consider two of Chicago Sailing's rental programs.

Our Preferred Rental Program is a fractional sailing program using 2 of our sailboats. Offering more time slots and smaller boats, we are the premiere offering for the recreational sailboat captain. Learn more about this unique program today!

Plan on doing a lot of sailing in a specific month? Chicago Sailing offers monthly rental packages for our sailors who want to get out on the water, but aren't ready to commit to the entire sailing. Call 773-871-7245 for more information on this new offering.

Important Note:
As a courtesy to other members, rental times begin and end promptly, according to your reservation. Please allow adequate time for docking, stowage and exit procedures. You are subject to significant penalty charges for tardiness or searches. To avoid the inconvenience and late charges, you may request an extension of rental time by contacting the office prior to the end of your scheduled reservation. We are pleased to grant rental time extensions on a "when available" basis.
