Learning to sail is easy and when taught properly, it's a ton of fun. Whatever your skill level, at Chicago Sailing we have a course to suit your needs. As a US Sailing certified school, Chicago Sailing is the ideal source to hone your skills whether you're a rank novice or an experienced yacht racer!

Our US Sailing certified instructors are well-respected yachtsmen and women, who have the experience and knowledge to teach students to safely skipper and race boats from 22 to 53 feet. In addition to our regularly scheduled classes, we also offer Sailing and Racing for sailors who want to enhance their skills or have some flat-out fun.

All courses have a strong practical focus and are geared towards ensuring that you can skipper your own boat with complete confidence. We use J/22, J24 and J/30 keelboats along with Hunter 326's for their quality, design and ease of handling. These are fine learning boats, as they are sensitive to changes and adjustments in sail trim. The majority of your training will take place on the water, giving you lots of hands-on experience.
