Sailing Instructors

We are always looking for experienced instructors to join our team from April - October. If you meet the following minimum requirements, we want you to work with us in creating a lifetime of adventure for new sailors. Along the way you will have the best summer of your life. Full or part-time positions available.

* Demonstrable sailing proficiency
* Exceptional communication and teaching skills
* Fun, Hardworking, energetic, patient and enthusiastic personality
* Willingness to be certified to US SAILING standards

Sales and Reservations Staff

 We are looking for fun, energetic sales and reservations staff available mid-April or May through September. We have several part-time positions available. Working with a fun group of professionals in Belmont Harbor, you will perform a number of tasks that support our organization's operations in sailing lessons, rentals, charters and events. Besides complete customer service, this position requires working experience with data management and office operations. If you are talented, energetic, cheerful and responsible we want you on our team. 
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following skills: 
• superior verbal and written skills
• working experience with database systems and MS Office
• sales or customer service experience
• proven ability to learn quickly 

Duties Include:
• Managing customer inquiries and reservations
• Insuring accurate customer history
• Maintaining all safety standards
• Working independently to complete a variety of marketing and sales initiatives

Since our business operates all daylight hours in the summer, candidates must be available at least 20 hours/week, with availability on weekdays and weekends. Latest start date is 6/1/11. Training will be conducted April 1 – 15 and again during your first week of regular employment.

Management Staff

Our sailing business has an ongoing need for experienced managers, with experience in program management, customer service and business management. Typical duties of these positions include hiring, training, creating and managing programming, and maintaining a high standard of service. Our managers interact with clients regularly and must provide a high-level of service that is respectful while considering safety and business operations.

A successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of business imperatives. These include:

• Track record of multi-tasking and executing projects from beginning to end

Internships

Our firm is looking for marketing interns to spearhead a wide range of marketing and sales initiatives. Working with a fun group of young professionals, you will perform a number of challenging tasks that support our 2011 marketing goals. The position will allow you to learn skills and witness the direct impact of your efforts. If you are talented, energetic and responsible we want you to join our team. You will find it challenging and rewarding.

Duties include:
• Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing strategies
• Managing our social media campaign and customer engagement projects
• Creating new sales initiatives
• Representing our firm at social events throughout the city

Internship will run for 10 weeks with approximately 15 hours worked per week. Scheduling is flexible for the right candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
At a minimum the ideal Marketing Intern candidate will:
• Exhibit superior verbal and written skills
• Demonstrate a keen interest in business and marketing
• Maintain a highly organized work environment
• Be a self starter and effective task manager
• Work effectively on multiple projects at the same time
• Have instructional recommendation and oversight from a well respected university
